CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A hit-and-run accident on Interstate 15 left a family with minor injures and authorities looking for the person who hit him, according to the California Highway Patrol.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino Fire Department received calls of crash with multiple vehicles at about 10:52am Saturday May 29, 2021. It occurred near the truck scale just after Highway 138 on ramp.
The vehicles involved in the crash were a black Ford Flex that rolled over on its side and a sliver Nissan Sentra that the driver fled the scene going Southbound exiting at Cleghorn Road. Everybody was reported to be trapped inside the Ford. With help everybody was able to get out with minor injuries.
Witnesses were able to describe the suspects vehicle. Minutes later CHP located the Nissan Sentra on Cajon Boulevard old Route 66 near Kenwood Ave with damage from the crash. From reports the driver was a african american female adult. The female driver was found and apprehended.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol San Bernardino Office. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
