No Injuries Reported In Car Fire In The Cajon Pass Monday Afternoon

DEVORE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> San Bernardino National Forest firefighters responded to the scene of a vehicle fire on old Route 66/Cajon Boulevard in the Cajon Pass Monday afternoon.

California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Fire Department, CAL Fire, and US Department of Forest Service firefighters were getting calls of a vehicle on fire on the right shoulder on old Route 66/Cajon Boulevard. The vehicle fire was reported about 4:41pm Monday, September 20, 2021 with flames coming from the engine compartment.

When firefighters were on the scene to worked on getting the vehicle fire put out they also stop the flame from getting in the brush nearby. The vehicle was reported to be a black Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan. Everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
