RIALTO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> California Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle, according to investigators.
The crash happened shortly after 2pm Friday November 19, 2021, on westbound 210 freeway just before State Street exit. According to the California Highway Patrol Traffic log, the pedestrian jumped out of a vehicle from the center divider in a possible a black Volkswagen Jetta. Seconds later a passing dark gray BMW hit the pedestrian. The motorist involved in the incident remained on the scene and were cooperating with investigators.
When CHP arrived on the scene, they found the pedestrian that was hit and found unresponsive in the middle lane. With life saving measures on scene failed, shortly after they pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the incident were not immediately clear. This incident is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol San Bernardino Inland Office. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call CHP at (909) 383-4247.
