Volunteers Organized By Three SoCal Off-Road Recovery Facebook Groups Did Some Spring Cleaning In The Cajon Pass Last Weekend

CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Three local Facebook groups took the phrase ‘spring cleaning’ to a whole new level.

On Saturday March 26, the ‘Spring Clean Jamboree’ happened in multiple areas up and around the Cajon Pass. The SoCal Offroad Recovery, and the Desert Recovery Facebook groups held its first clean-up jamboree.

These groups are for anyone that off-roads in Southern California. If you get stuck or need assistance, all you have to do is ask for help by posting.

Volunteers collected a whopping 16 tons of trash and debris (including a boat, 2 cars and 21 tires) this past Saturday in and around the Baldy Mesa OHV staging area! Picking up trash is not a glamorous thing to do, but it’s very rewarding to see it clean a volunteer said. The cleanup overall went very well and we’re very happy to clean up the habitat for the animals and the trails for riding.

It takes an enormous effort to coordinate this cleanup and the Pain In The Pass Facebook Group is so thankful for all the volunteers, that came out this past weekend to clean. Please remember to pack out your trash and leave no trace!
