Motorist Wounded In Shooting On I- 215 In San Bernardino

SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Authorities are investigating yet another freeway shooting in Southern California, this time in downtown San Bernardino.

A male driver was injured in a car-to-car shooting. Located on the southbound Interstate 215 Freeway in San Bernardino on April 13, 2022, according to the California Highway Patrol. The incident occurred at about 8:39pm on the southbound lanes just north of Baseline Street.

The victim told the CHP that an unknown suspect fired an unknown number of rounds at his blue BMW 325 sedan. The victim was struck with a gun shot and was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver was unable to obtain any further information regarding the suspect or the suspect vehicle.

This marks at least the fifth freeway shooting to take place in Southern California since April 4.
