Family Launches Go Fund Me For 31-Year-Old Apple Valley Man Killed Near Lancaster

ANTELOPE VALLEY, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The family of 31-year-old driver Frank Garcia, killed in a traffic accident on Avenue J at 140th Street East near Lancaster have launched a Go Fund Me account.

Frank Garcia, 31, resident of Apple Valley was the victim, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.

At 7:05am, Friday morning on October 7, 2022 the incident was reported. Located at Avenue J at 140th Street East in an unincorporated area near Lancaster. Frank Garcia was driving his Chevrolet Silverado westbound on Avenue J with two passengers and was approaching 140th Street East. This is when the driver of a white Nissan Frontier that was stopped at a two-way stop sign “failed to yield the right-of-way and entered the intersection,” according to the California Highway Patrol.

The left front of the Nissan struck Garcia’s truck and caused it to overturn multiple times before coming to a rest on the eastbound dirt shoulder of Avenue J.

As a result of the collision, Garcia suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

One of the Garcia’s passengers sustained major injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment, while the second passenger had minor injuries. The woman driving the Nissan also sustained minor injuries.
