LUCERNE VALLEY, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A head-on crash in Lucerne Valley Sunday morning claimed the life of one person and sent another airlifted to a trauma hospital, the California Highway Patrol said.
California Highway Patrol, and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the crash that happened around 11:22am on Highway 247 near Granite Road, authorities said. The driver of a sliver vehicle and a driver of a red vehicle with one of them to have crossed the centerline of the roadway. Both vehicles were reported to be unrecognizable.
One person was pronounced deceased at the scene, CHP said. One person was transported by Mercy Air #24. The helicopter airlifted from the scene to Loma Linda University Medical Center in critical condition.
