Pain In The Pass

Daylight Saving Time. Keep You And Your Family Safe By Checking Things Around Your Vehicle And Your Home

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Don’t forget that Daylight Saving Time starts Sunday morning. Remember to turn those clocks forward one hour. The change will happen on Sunday at 2 am, while most of us are asleep. You might need to set your clocks forward one hour before going to bed on Saturday night. Also, it’s time to check things around your vehicle to make sure it’s safe on the road.

Get plenty of sleep leading up to the start of daylight saving. And if you can, go to bed an hour earlier tonight.

Things to check or change:

• Remember to set your clocks forward one hour in your house and your vehicles if you remember how to.

• Check and test the batteries in your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors.

• Inspect your headlights, turn signals, brake lights, and taillights to make sure they are working properly. So you are safe on the freeway.

• Check your tires air pressure and tire wear.

• Be sure to check your emergency kit too for any food or water that might be near the expiration date.

• Check for recalls on your vehicle is easier than you think. Enter your vehicle’s VIN at NHTSA recalls site or checktoprotect.org to see if your vehicle has open recalls.
