Pedestrian Killed After Being Hit By Car In San Bernardino

The incident happened about 9:12pm on the southbound side of State Route 259 (transition ramp to southbound I-215) near the 30th Street onramp in San Bernardino Saturday night May 27, 2023. 

Authorities say the pedestrian was struck by at least one vehicle as well, as a number of vehicles stop to render aid. The pedestrian died due to their injuries, CHP confirmed.

The driver of the a sliver vehicle that hit the pedestrian, who was not injured, pulled over to the right shoulder and waited for first responders to arrive, per CHP.

The identity of the pedestrian is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland Office.
