BARSTOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Four people were airlifted Tuesday after their vehicle rolled over on Highway 58.(Photo above is credit by CHP Inland Division Air Opts.)
The crash happened at 1:46pm on August 8, 2023, on westbound Hwy 58 between Main Street and Lenwood Road, the California Highway Patrol said.
An unknown vehicle with major damage was found partly in the center divider and the fast lane by the first arriving CHP officers and firefighters, they rendered aid to the people involved in the incident. Rescue crews requested multiple medical helicopters to transport all with unknown major injuries. They said, multiple victims were ejected from the vehicle as well as others needing to be extricated from inside the vehicle.
One person was transported from the scene by CHP helicopter to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
The other three victims were transported from the scene by a Mercy Air helicopter and two Reach Air Medical helicopters to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Other victims were transported by ground ambulances to a local hospital.
