SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Two people were killed and two people were injured in a head-on crash on Cajon Boulevard old Route 66 early Sunday morning.
California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Sheriff Department, AMR, and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic collision. The crash happened about 1:22 am Sunday, October 13, 2024, on Cajon Blvd. near Mathews Ranch Road.
A silver Toyota GR86 sports car and a black Chevrolet Malibu sedan were both occupied by two people, according to the San Bernardino County Fire Department.
Firefighters rendered aid to all four victims, but sadly the driver of Chevy succumbed to their injuries sustained in the collision. The driver of the Toyota was transported by ambulance after rescue workers had performed CPR. The driver of the Toyota succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision.
The two passengers in both vehicles were transported by ambulance with unknown major injuries. The Chevy’s passenger was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center and the Toyota’s passenger was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
Neither driver’s identity has been released publicly at this time.
