California Highway Patrol officers and San Bernardino County Fire responded to a solo vehicle rollover crash, about 3:33pm on February 13, 2025, Thursday afternoon. The crash was in the area of Highway 18 and Lincoln Road in Lucerne, according to CHP.
Jose was driving on his way home from work in his unknown gray 4 door sedan on Hwy 18 near Lincoln Road. That’s, when he lost control and overturned multiple times on the highway. The crash caused him to be ejected from his vehicle.
Despite life-saving rescue measures, firefighter officials said Jose was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A GoFundMe account has been established by his family to assist with the burial cost and other expenses. “As this loss came unexpectedly, we are asking our community and our village to help us lay him to rest,” Yahaira Vargas said in the GoFundMe campaign. Anything will be greatly appreciated.
