VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A motorcyclist was critically injured when a driver turned left in front of him, causing him to fly off his bike, police said. (Photo above is credit by Jennifer Hernandez)
The crash happened around 1:11pm on Saturday, March 8, 2025, on Bear Valley Road, just west of Amethyst Rd. Victorville Police and Victorville City Fire Department were called to the traffic accident.
Police say the male victim was riding on his black motorcycle traveling west on Bear Valley Rd. approaching the entrance of the Superior Grocers/Del Taco parking lot. That’s when the driver of a silver Hyundai Genesis type sedan, who was traveling east on Bear Valley, turned left in front of the motorcyclist.
The male adult on the motorcycle crashed into the front-end of the sedan. He was rush over to Desert Valley Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The hospital called for a medical helicopter to transport to a trauma center. Mercy Air #2 airlifted the rider to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
The driver of the sedan remained at the scene, and cooperated with police. No charges are pending at this time.
At last check the victim remains in critical condition in surgery as of Saturday night.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Victorville Police Department.
