The collision was reported about 5:30pm on March 26, 2025, on Highway 395, just north of Bear Valley Road. Upon arrival, it was determined a black Cadillac Escalade SUV, a gold Chevrolet Tahoe SUV, and a white Freightliner semi tractor-trailer crashed blocking both directions of the highway.
Preliminary investigation indicated that the driver of the black Cadillac Escalade SUV was attempting to pass a gold Chevrolet Tahoe just before impact, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials said.
“The Cadillac collided head-on with an oncoming semi tractor-trailer and as a result, collided with the gold Tahoe as well,” department spokeswoman Gloria Orejel said.
Victorville Fire Department and EMS were also called to the scene. From reports, both drivers were the only people in each vehicle and were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the semi did remain on scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The Victorville Station Major Accident Investigation Team arrived on scene and assumed the investigation. Highway 395, between Bear Valley Road and La Mesa Rd was closed for several hours.
Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Detective S. Lenihan or Deputy C. Stanley at the Victorville Police Station, (760) 241-2911.
