Woman Killed after Vehicle Rear-Ends Semi Tractor Trailer in Lucerne Monday Night

LUCERNE VALLEY, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A woman killed from injuries in an crash after her car rear-ended a semi tractor-trailer, California Highway Patrol said.

The collision happened at about 9:26pm Monday April 7, 2025, at the intersection of Highway 247/ Old Woman Springs Road and Barstow Rd.

From the preliminary investigation indicates a female driver of a black Chrysler 200 sedan and a red semi pulling a 50-foot box trailer.

Investigators said the semi was traveling northbound on Barstow Road and had entered the intersection after coming to a stop at the 4-way stop sign. The Chrysler was traveling eastbound on Old Woman Springs Rd at a high rate of speed, fell to stop at the stop sign when it collided with the back of the semi.

Recuse crew from San Bernardino County Fire found a female driver inside the sedan. She was the only person in the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Her identity has not yet been released at this time.

The semi driver was not hurt in the collision.

This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
