PRIMM, NV. (Pain In The Pass) >> Flash flooding along Interstate 15 in Primm Nevada Thursday evening.
Nevada State Police issued a full freeway closure along the I-15 northbound and southbound on-ramp and off-ramp at Primm Boulevard due to flooding, according to the RTC of Southern Nevada.
Shortly after 5pm, a large thunderstorm cell was overhead as drivers in the area were experiencing major delays as a result.
Heavy rains showers were expected across the Las Vegas area and surrounding areas Thursday afternoon through Friday. It was reported over one inch of rain fell near Primm Thursday, according to the National Weather Service of Las Vegas.
More chances of rain and thunderstorms are in the forecast for Friday.
Around 6pm lanes were reopened.
