BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Highway Patrol said a female driver was killed when her vehicle went off the freeway and crashed.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters were called to a crash at about 8:45am on Saturday morning May 22, 2021. The incident was reported on northbound Interstate 15 before Afton Canyon Road near the city of Baker. The female driver has been ID as Brittany Johnson, a 32-year-old resident of Whittier, California. She was driving her sliver Mercedes-Benz SUV on northbound Interstate 15. Her vehicle left the roadway and struck the side of a dirt wash wall and caught fire.
Johnson was found unresponsive inside her vehicle. Shortly after they pronounced the driver deceased at the scene. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Barstow Office. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
