Minivan Fire Sends Black Smoke Over The Cajon Pass

CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A mini-van caught fire on northbound Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass Wednesday afternoon.

California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino National Forest Service, and San Bernardino County Fire Department were on scene of a white Chevrolet Uplander minivan on fire. The vehicle was located about one mile before Oak Hill Road exit, about 3:28pm on June 23, 2021.

California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down the #4 and the slow lane, while they worked on getting the vehicle fire put out. Everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
