Pickup Truck Rolled Over Spilling Corn All Over Northbound Interstate 15

BARSTOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A pickup truck involved in a single vehicle rollover crash on northbound 15 Thursday morning.

The roll-over crash was reported about 10:42am, Thursday June 24, 2021, on Interstate 15 just before Hodge Road exit. The pickup was reported to be a black Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck full of corn on the cob in the bed of the truck. Hundreds of ears of corn spilled all over the traffic lanes and the shoulder of the Interstate. California Highway Patrol temporary blocked the slow lane for about a hour for the cleanup of debris and corn on the cobs.

Everybody was able to exit the pickup truck and was not injured according to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Log. For reasons still under investigation, the pickup truck blew a rear tire, lost control and rolled over. The truck was the only one involved in the crash. The incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Barstow Office. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
