Boat Trailer On Fire, Back Up Traffic On NB 15 In Hesperia

HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A pickup truck pulling a boat trailer caught fire caused backups on northbound Interstate 15 in Hesperia during the Thursday early afternoon commute.

California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department were getting calls of a boat trailer on fire. The trailer was located just before Ranchero Road exit on the right shoulder. The fire happened on Thursday July 29, 2021 about 11:40am. The trailer reported to blew a tire and caught on fire. CHP and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down all traffic lanes, while they worked on getting the trailer fire put out. Two lanes were reopened at 12pm and all lanes were reopen at 12:16pm.

Everybody did escape the vehicle pulling the trailer before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. The main cause of the fire is unknown at this time. Traffic was backup for miles.
