Big Rig Fire Prompts Temporary Closure Of Hwy 127 In The Town Of Baker

BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >>  A big rig fire shut down northbound Kelbaker Road/Hwy 127 offramp lane on Interstate 15 Wednesday afternoon.

 California Highway Patrol and CAL Fire were getting calls of a big rig tractor on fire just before 4pm, Wednesday on August 18, 2021. The big rig stop on the offramp of the Interstate in the town of Baker. No information on how the big rig fire started was released but fire officials say that the fire started by the rear tires of the tractor. Everybody did escape the big rig before it became fully engulfed. Caltrans with help by the tow truck company the ramp will be closed for hours due to the cleanup and the removal of the big rig/trailer.
