Pedestrian Killed On Northbound I-215 In San Bernardino Wednesday Night

SAN BERNARINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A pedestrian killed after he was hit by a vehicle just after the Palm Avenue/Kendall Drive exit in San Bernardino Wednesday night.

The incident happened around 10:00pm on northbound Interstate 215 near the Palm Avenue/Kendall Drive and Devore Road exits. According to the California Highway Patrol Traffic log, the male pedestrian was wearing a dark colored long sleeve shirt, and pants was walking in the center divider and the fast lane. Minutes later a passing vehicle hit the pedestrian. The motorist involved in the incident remained on the scene and were cooperating with investigators.

When CHP arrived on the scene, they found a male pedestrian that was hit and found unresponsive in the fast lane. With CPR efforts on scene failed, shortly after they pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene at 10:25pm. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Coroner release the name of the pedestrian as Andrew Rios, a 22-year-old resident of Ontario.

This incident is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol San Bernardino Inland Office. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call (909) 383-4247.
