FONTANA CA, (Pain In The Pass) >>The Fontana Days Run Half Marathon returns this weekend on Saturday morning June 4, 2022. The marathon began back in 1955 with a reported 200 participants, and over the years the event eventually grew to include more than 2,000 entrants.
The Fontana Days Run is a 13.1 mile Half Marathon that starts in the San Bernardino National Forest Lytle Creek area at an elevation of 3,800 feet and drops nearly 2,500 feet to the finish line in front of Fontana City Hall on Sierra Ave.
Road Closure
The following road closures will take place on Saturday morning June 4, 2022 at 6am. No vehicle traffic is permitted on course during race event. Major intersections are patrolled and traffic laws are enforced by the Fontana Police Department.
Interstate 15 Sierra Ave northbound and southbound on and off ramp will be closed from 6am-11am or will re-open following the last runner.
Lytle Creek Road Closed from 7am-9am from I-15 to Applewhite Campground in Lytle Creek.
Sierra Ave will be closed to traffic at 6am, although minor delays may occur as the race unfolds.
