HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A 21-year-old man from Hesperia was identified Monday as the driver killed on Father’s Day in a two-vehicle collision on Ranchero Road according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office.
Javier Bueno Jr. suffered fatal injuries after his car collided with a motorhome. The crash happened at about 6:40am on Sunday June 19, 2022, on Ranchero Rd at Cascade Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol preliminary investigation revealed the white Chevrolet Motorhome was traveling westbound on Ranchero Road approaching the Cascade Avenue intersection as the blue Toyota Scion TC was traveling eastbound on Ranchero Road approaching the same intersection.
The driver of the motorhome made a left turn directly into the Toyota’s path of travel. As a result, the front of the Toyota struck the right side of the motorhome,” stated the CHP press release.
Javier had to be extricated from the destroyed Scion by firefighters. He was transported to Desert Valley Hospital by ambulance where he succumbed to his injuries. CHP officers said no drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
CHP said the male driver of the motorhome did sustain minor injuries. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol San Bernardino Victorville Office. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
