MOUNTAIN PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> At least one person was killed after slamming into the back of a pickup truck pulling a trailer Thursday morning on the southbound Interstate 15 near Stateline.
The crash happened at about 10:33am Thursday June 30, 2022. The location was on southbound Interstate 15 about two mile after Baily Road exit about 15 miles away from Primm Stateline. California Highway Patrol, and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic crash involving a white Ford F-350 pickup truck with a camper shell pulling a trailer and a red Ford F-350 pickup truck pulling a 20 foot box trailer and a unknown SUV.
According to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Log, the white truck hit the back of the red truck trailer. Then seconds later the SUV slamming into the back of the white pickup truck and trailer at high speeds and burst into flames.
The SUV driver was killed and at this time it’s unknown if other people were inside the SUV. Officials did not say whether the other two vehicles suffered any injuries in the collision.
CHP has not released a cause of the crash. No further details have been provided at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Barstow Office. Please check for updates on this incident.
