Two Airlifted After Collision With A Semi On Northbound I-15 Near Yermo

HARVARD, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Emergency crews responded to a wreck involving a semi tractor trailer on Interstate 15.

California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino Fire Department received calls of a collision on northbound Interstate 15 about 7 miles after Harvard Road exit. The collision happened at about 12:28pm Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

From what the traffic log stated, a gray Jeep Gladiator semi rear-ended the tractor trailer at high speeds then rolled-over multiple times into the center divider. The impact caused the semi 20 foot trailer to overturn on its side.

Rescue crews requested two medical helicopter to transport the two people inside the Jeep. One person was transported by CHP H82 Helicopter at the scene to Loma Linda University Medical Center in unknown condition. The other person was transported by Mercy Air 2 Helicopter at the scene to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in unknown condition.

The semi driver was not injured.

We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Barstow Office.
