Rainy Weather Causes Traffic Headaches Up And Down The Cajon Pass All Day Friday

CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Rain-slicked roads and heavy fog up and down the Cajon Pass led to multiple crashes and spin-outs on Interstate 15 all day Friday.

Traffic was backup early morning due to the overnight roadwork that had two lanes blocked until 4am, March 10,2023. Traffic was backup to Nisqualli/La Mesa Road all the way to Oak Hill Rd.

Friday morning drivers have to deal with light rain and heavy fog. Traffic was slow in the Cajon Pass at 6am.

About 9:12am reported a multiple vehicle chain reaction collision southbound I-15 about a mile after Oak Hill Rd. blocking the fast lane. It was reported 7 vehicles crash.

Then on northbound I-15 at 9:50am about two miles before Oak Hill Rd a three vehicle crash blocked the fast lane. In the traffic backup just after Highway 138 a SUV crash into the back of a semi tractor trailer.

CHP issued a Traffic Advisory at 10am for both directions in the Cajon Pass.

At 11:39am a multi vehicle traffic collision on the NB I-15 just before the Main Street exit.

There were more minor collisions and spinout to report and no major injuries were reported in all the incidents.

Slow down and drive according to the weather conditions. This is especially important in the Cajon Pass and on Interstate 15 where drivers can find themselves losing control very quickly if they don’t slow down.
