BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A rollover crash jammed Interstate 15 Thursday afternoon by sending a person to be airlifted from the scene.
The crash happened at about 1:54pm Thursday March 16, 2023. The location was on northbound Interstate 15 approximately 6 miles after Afton Road or approximately 30 miles before the town of Baker. California Highway Patrol, and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the rollover crash involving a white Toyota, unknown type of model.
According to what the CHP Traffic Log stated, the Toyota was traveling on northbound I-15 speeding and recklessly driving. The driver lost control at an unknown high speed, veered to the shoulder and rolled-over multiple times landing in both traffic lanes blocking them.
Rescue crews requested one helicopter to transport one with critical injuries. Firefighters rendered aid to the person involved in the crash. The person was transported by Mercy Air #66. The helicopter airlifted from the scene to Las Vegas University Medical Center in critical condition.
