CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A hit-and-run traffic crash in northbound Interstate 15 caused the death of a man Wednesday morning.
California Highway Patrol officers received calls of a crash at 12:32am of a mile walking south on the northbound side of I-15 early Wednesday morning April 12, 2023. When officers arrived they found that a a male person was laying in the middle of the traffic lanes.
The male was unresponsive and they pronounced the him deceased at the scene.
Some drivers did stop at the scene and were talking to officer and later found out the vehicles that initially hit the pedestrian fled the scene.
After a brief search CHP found a driver at the Circle K on Ranchero Road next to the freeway with damage and blood on the vehicle. At this time, this was the only vehicle they found.
The identity of the pedestrian remains unknown.
