Two Airlifted In Rear-End Collision On 15 Freeway After Stoddard Wells Road

APPLE VALLEY, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Two people were airlifted after there vehicle smash into the back of a semi on Interstate 15 freeway in Apple Valley Sunday morning.

The collision happened around 8:14am on Sunday April 16, 2023, The incident happened about a mile after the Stoddard Wells/Bell Mountain Road off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol and the Apple Valley Fire Department responded to the traffic crash involving a gray Chevrolet Aveo and a semi tractor trailer.

Responding officers and rescue crews requested two medical helicopters to transport the two people inside the Chevy car to a hospital with unspecified injuries. Mercy Air #2 and Reach Air Medical #43 landed at the scene. Both people were transported to Arrowhead Medical Center in Colton. 

The semi driver had no injuries were reported. CHP temporarily blocked lanes for about a hours for the investigation and for the medical helicopters
