HARVARD, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> At least one person is killed after a rollover crash on southbound Interstate 15 involving a pickup truck on Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. (Picture above is credit by Juana Lnes.)
CHP and San Bernardino County Fire Department received calls of a rollover crash on southbound I-15 about a mile after the Harvard Road exit or about 10 miles from the town of Yermo. The rollover crash happened at about 12:07am Monday, April 24, 2023.
For reasons still under investigation, a silver Nissan Armada veered off the freeway towards right shoulder. This cause the vehicle to overturn a number of times, came to rest on its side within the shoulder of the freeway. The vehicle reportedly hit a Caltrans camera with solar panels on a pole next to guardrail. According to the California Highway Patrol said.
Responding officers and rescue crews requested a medical helicopters to transport. Firefighters rendered aid to the people inside. Reach Medical #13 helicopter did land on scene. Firefighters extricated the driver from the vehicle but sadly succumbed to their injuries sustained in the collision. The passenger was transported by ground ambulance in unknown condition.
CHP didn’t say how many people were involved in the incident or there identity has not been released publicly at this time.
