LLANO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Highway Patrol said one person killed in a two vehicle crash early Sunday morning on Highway 138 at Hwy 18.
California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the traffic collision at the intersection of Highway 138 and Hwy 18. The two vehicle crash happened at about 1:12am Sunday May 21, 2023.
The collision involved a Chrysler SUV, and a Genesis GV series model SUV stated on the CHP Traffic Log. CHP said one of the vehicles was T-bone and bystanders attempting to get the person out of the vehicle that caught on fire, sadly they couldn’t rescue the person because of the flames were to intense.
Responding officers and rescue crews requested a medical helicopters to transport three victims from the scene. Los Angeles County Fire Department Firehawk helicopter #22 transport one critical injured child, one critical injured adult, and one minor injured child all three flown to LA County USC Medical Center.
Two other victims were transported by ground ambulance with one was a minor injured adult, and one was a minor injured child both transported to a local hospital.
One person killed at the scene. There identity has not been released publicly at this time.
