BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A person was killed Friday after being ejected from the vehicle during a single-car crash on Interstate 15.
A single-vehicle rollover crashed occurred at 1:54am Friday, June 16, 2023, in the area of northbound I-15 about 5 miles from Cima Road exit.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash with possible ejection, and when they arrived on the scene, they made contact with medical units.
CHP says the driver lost control of the vehicle and rolled over in the center divider, causing the driver to be ejected from the vehicle.
Rescue workers attempted life-saving measures at the scene, but the driver was pronounced deceased, officials said.
“Another family is mourning the death of a family member due to a preventable crash,” said the admin of the Pain In The Pass. “I can’t stress enough the importance of wearing a seatbelt and making good decisions while driving.”
No other details have been provided at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Barstow Office.
