RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> An investigation is underway on Interstate 15 after one person was killed in a two-vehicle collision with one of the vehicles to rollover Monday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol. (Photo above is credit by Tim R Alcoser Jr.)
The crash happened at about 2:32pm Monday July 31, 2023. The location of the collision was on southbound Interstate 15 just before Baseline Road exit. California Highway Patrol and Rancho Cucamonga Fire Department responded to the rollover crash involving a dark green older Dodge Ram van and a gray Toyota SUV unknown model.
From at witness stated on the CHP traffic log said the driver of the Dodge van blew out a tire, swerve, and overturned multiple times. A passing Toyota was hit by the Dodge. The Dodge landed on its driver side blocking the #1, #2, and #3 lane.
According to the Ventura County Fire unit that was driving pass the collision and did stop on scene before CHP and RC Fire Department arrive on scene. They said that one person was trapped under the van and possible deceased.
Rescue crew tending to all the patients involved in the collision, unknown on there injuries at this time.
The person killed identity has not been released publicly at this time.
