CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A car rear-ends a pickup truck on Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass Thursday afternoon cause a traffic nightmare. (Photo above is credit by Aileen Partida)
The incident, which involved two vehicles a silver Toyota Prius sedan and a blue Nissan Fronter pickup truck, occurred just before 3pm. The collision happened on northbound I-15 about 2 miles before the Cleghorn Road exit in the middle two lanes.
Traffic in the Cajon Pass was impacted with the two lane closures for more than 30 minutes while the scene was cleared. Although the pickup truck sustained moderate to heavy damage to his bumper, the truck was possibly still drivable. The Toyota had major front-end damage and had to be towed away.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland Office.
