RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Officials have identified a passenger who was killed back in July 31st in a two-vehicle roll-over collision on southbound Interstate 15. (Photo above is credit by Tim R Alcoser Jr.)
The deceased passenger has been identified as 72-year-old Ok Joo Kim, resident of Chino, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner Report.
A witness stated on the CHP traffic log said the driver of the Dodge van blew a rear tire, swerve, and overturned multiple times. A passing Toyota SUV was hit by the Dodge. The Dodge landed on its driver side blocking the #1, #2, and #3 lane.
Kim was trapped under the van and sustained fatal injuries at the scene. The driver sustained only minor injuries.
This incident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Rancho Cucamonga Office.
