Multiple Vehicle Crash causes Northbound I-15 Shutdown in the Cajon Pass Friday Morning

CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> An accident including at least 3 to 4 vehicles on northbound Interstate 15 before Oak Hill Road has caused all lanes to close Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. (Photo above is credit by Danny Atencio)

CHP and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic accident. The accident happen Friday morning, September 15, 2023, at 5:49am about two mile after Highway 138 exit.

The vehicles involved were a white VW sedan, a tan Toyota Sienna mini van, and the other vehicles were not listed on the CHP traffic log. The Toyota had major damage to the rear-end. The VW had major front end damage.

During the collision both the Toyota and VW were disabled blocking the #2, 3, and the #4 lanes. Rescue crews arrived on scene, and reported transported one person by ground ambulance with unknown injuries.

Traffic was stopped for over 30 minutes while they removed the vehicles out of the lanes.

There was a report earlier of a disabled mini-van prior to the collision near the collision.
