California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Fire Department, and San Bernardino National Forest firefighters were getting calls of a sliver Dodge Ram pulling a trailer on fire. The vehicle was located about one mile from Highway 138 exit in the right shoulder. The car fire happened on Tuesday about 5:35pm September 19, 2023. California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down the slow lane and the #4 lane while they worked on getting the pickup fire put out.

Traffic backup quickly and firefighters had the fire out in about a half of a hour. Everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. While officials didn’t say what caused the fire at this time.
