Pickup Truck Pulling a Small Trailer Catches Fire on Northbound I-15 in Victorville

California Highway Patrol and Victorville City Fire Department were getting calls of a gold Dodge Ram pulling a trailer on fire. The vehicle was located on the La Mesa/Nisqualli Road offramp in the right shoulder. The vehicle fire happened on Friday about 4:29pm September 22, 2023. California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down the offramp while they worked on getting the pickup fire put out.

Traffic backup quickly and firefighters had the fire out in about 15 minutes. The driver was able to detach the trailer to save the trailer from catching fire. Everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. While officials didn’t say what caused the fire at this time.
