BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Motorcycle rider was injured following a motorcycle crash on Interstate 15 near the town of Baker Thursday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department says the collision happened about 1:14pm on southbound I-15 between Halloran Spring Road and the town of Baker, involving a motorcyclist on a unknown bike and a black SUV.
The rider was ejected from the bike. The rider was lying in the right shoulder of the freeway. Rescue crews arrived on scene and requested a medical helicopter to transport the rider. The rider was transported from the scene by Mercy Air #21 helicopter to Las Vegas University Medical Center in serious condition.
The vehicle that hit the motorcyclist did stop at the scene and was not injured. We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Barstow Office.
