HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Non-stop overnight and all day heavy rain showers from the latest in a series of atmospheric river storms to reach San Bernardino County flooded local streets in Hesperia. (Photo above is credit by Fidel Limon.)
By 3pm. Monday, the storm system dumped 5+ inches of rain in the San Bernardino Mountains areas. The heaviest hit areas appeared to be Rock Springs Road where flooding shut down the major thoroughfare between the town of Apple Valley and Hesperia.
The city of Hesperia said Due to flooding, San Bernardino County Public Works has closed Rock Springs Road between Glendale Avenue in Hesperia and Deep Creek Road in Apple Valley. Check back for a updated when the closure is lifted. It looks like the closure will be in place until weather conditions improve and safe to vehicle to travel across. More rainfall in the forecast all week.
For your safety, please obey all signs and closures. Please do not drive, bike or walk through flooded roadways. Water depth can be misleading, and the road may be damaged under flood water, Just Turn Around.
