Disabled Semi Broke Down in the Cajon Pass Wednesday Afternoon

CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Traffic on northbound Interstate 15 was backed up for miles Wednesday afternoon after a semi became disabled in traffic lanes. (Photo above is credit by Quyen Zzyzx.)

California Highway Patrol and a tow truck responded to the disabled big rig that was reported around 2:30pm on February 7, 2024 about a mile before the Cleghorn Road exit.

It is not clear why, but the CHP traffic log stated the semi might have had engine problems. A little after 3:30pm a tow truck was able to move the big rig and trailer out of the traffic lanes. Traffic was backed up before the Kenwood Avenue.
