CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A traffic accident that caused a sedan to go over the side down the embankment of Interstate 15, also resulted in two people injured.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department were called to the crash scene that happened about 9:10am on Saturday February 10, 2024 on southbound I-15 about a mile after Oak Hill Road exit.
The two vehicles were involved was reported to be a white Mercedes-Benz sedan struck the back of a white Ford F-250 pick-up truck. The contact between the two made the Mercedes-Benz sedan hit the guardrail and go over the side down the embankment. The sedan landed about 200 feet down and was smoking.
Recuse crews responded to the incident and reported the vehicle was down the embankment with two people still inside. Firefighters hiked down to the vehicle and assisted the occupants back up to the freeway. Both were transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries.
