Pedestrian Hit, Killed Saturday Morning on Main St. in Hesperia Identified

HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A male pedestrian was struck and killed by multiple vehicles on Main Street near Interstate 15 Saturday morning.

Officials say the incident happened approximately 1:30am on Saturday February 24, 2024, on Main Street between Escondido Avenue and Pyrite Ave. in Hesperia.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s/Hesperia Police officers said that at least one driver hit a pedestrian on the street. San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene.

According to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez, at least one of the drivers involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.

The names of the victim has been released as 34 year old, Jaime E. Munguia, a resident of Palm Springs.

The Hesperia Police Department urges anyone with information to come forward. No further details were immediately available at this time. The Hesperia Police Department is investigating the incident.
