CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Four people were hurt, after a pickup truck struck a vehicle pulling a trailer that stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass Tuesday morning, authorities say.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department were called to the crash scene on Tuesday about 7:07am on March 26, 2024. The crash scene was on northbound I-15 about a mile after the Kenwood Avenue exit on the right shoulder.
The vehicles involved in the collision was a white Chevrolet HHR SUV was pulling a small trailer that was stopped on the right shoulder of the freeway. The other vehicle was a red unknown model pickup truck.
For reasons still under investigation, the pickup truck driver veered off the right shoulder of the freeway. The pickup truck hit the Chevy pulling the trailer and at least one person was standing outside of the Chevy. The truck landed on top of the hillside with some major damage to the front end.
Four people were injured in the wreck rescue crews said, one person was taken to the local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Three people reported to have minor injuries.
