Car Catches Fire in the Cajon Pass Monday Night

CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A vehicle caught fire on northbound Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass lite up the night sky. SoCal Cleaning Solutions sent in a photo and a video of the vehicle fully engulfed in flames.

California Highway Patrol and the fire department said they received a call of a vehicle fire that happened on northbound Interstate 15 about a mile before the Oak Hill Road exit. At around 10pm on April 29, 2024, a dark color sedan possibly a Nissan Altima sedan was reported to be on fire on the right shoulder of the freeway.

Flames were coming from the engine compartment. Everybody did escape the vehicle before catching fire.

Crews managed to control the blaze before the flames hit nearby brush. There has been no word on any injuries.
