California Highway Patrol were getting calls of a white Ford Econoline RV van pulling a toy hauler trailer that both overturned. The crash took place Wednesday afternoon June 8, 2024 at about 1:44pm, on southbound I-15 about 2 miles before the Highway 138 exit. The 30ish foot trailer and van flipped over on its side and landed in the #1, #2 and #3 lane.
Everybody was able to exit the van according to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Log. One person was later transported by an ambulance with minor injuries.
For reasons still under investigation, the van and trailer lost control, and both rolled over. They were the only vehicle involved in the crash reported on the CHP traffic log.
This caused a major traffic tie-up on southbound I-15. Traffic was jammed all the way to Bear Valley Road at one point. Side streets were also jammed. The incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Inland Office. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available. Please check back for updates on this incident.
