Hit-and-Run Driver leaves behind Rollover Vehicle at the top of the Cajon Pass Wednesday Morning

CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> California Highway Patrol continued to look for a hit-and-run driver, who caused a rollover crash that jammed the morning commute. (Photo above is credit by Orlando Avitia)

The two-vehicle accident was reported at 6:06am on June 5, 2024. The location was on southbound I-15 just after the Oak Hill Road exit. The two vehicles were involved were a black Ford F-150 pickup truck, and a silver Kia Optima sedan.

The Ford and the Kia made contact and this cause the Kia to lose control and rolled over blocking the fast lane and the #2 lane for about 30 minutes. The traffic backed up quickly at one point was backup at the Main Street exit.

CHP said the party in the Kia were able to get out and left in another vehicle. No information on the driver or description of the vehicle.

We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Inland Office.
