LLANO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> California Highway Patrol are searching for the person who threw a rock or rocks at moving vehicles, with one rock reportedly hitting and killing a woman in a crash, authorities said.
The undefined woman and a male pasenger were traveling on westbound Highway 138 near Hwy 18 around 12:10am on Tuesday October 8, 2024, when someone threw a rock at her vehicle causing her to lose control and crash. The passenger said he believes his girlfriend not responding, stated on the CHP traffic log.
Rescue crew arrived on scene and said the female driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
CHP Officers said, they had similar collision involving rocks being thrown previously in the same area.
Investigators are asking for help to identify and locate the suspect or suspects involved. Anyone who witnessed anything related to rock throwing incident, they should call the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Antelope Valley Office at (661) 948-8541 or (323) 259-3200.
They’re specifically looking for anyone who might have dash camera that may have caught the suspect or suspects throwing rocks at passing motorist.
