DUI and Stolen Guns Found in Traffic Stop of Speeding Vehicle on Interstate 15 near Baker

BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Four stolen firearms and were recently found following a traffic stop of a speeding vehicle on northbound Interstate 15, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A concerned citizen called 911 to report the dangerous driver speeding on northbound I-15 between the city of Barstow and the town of Baker.

CHP officers noticed the vehicle speeding over 50 mph over the speed limit in a 70-mph zone on the Interstate. Authorities pulled over the vehicle over near the Zzyzx Road exit, south of town of Baker.

After inspection of the vehicle, Authorities also found multiple firearms and the driver driving under the influence.

A picture provided by the CHP in Barstow Office shows four firearms that were stolen.

The driver was arrested for DUI and possession of a stolen firearms.

The vehicle was impounded and the driver was arrested and booked into a local jail.

CHP did not provide an exact date of this incident.
